This is a critical role that assists with P&L and Balance Sheet ownership responsibilities. This position is involved in all Accounting functions at 13 operating units throughout the US. The selected candidate will perform all month end close duties in accordance with GAAP, contribute to the forecasting and budgeting process, help administer all business compliance and proactively drive process improvement. This position will provide information, data and conclusions to the finance group and other department functions, including Senior Leadership.

  • Prepare month end close journal entries in accordance with GAAP, including financial statement preparation, regulatory and general ledger compliance and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Facilitate and assist Finance with monthly forecasting and annual and long-term planning and budgeting
  • Prepare scrap reconciliations and facilitate corresponding customer service
  • Assist with management of fixed asset and capital expenditure administration and reporting
  • Facilitate and assist Finance with standardization/best practice efforts (one consistent and standard way) and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with the management of accounting and data integrity process improvement initiatives
  • Conduct physical inventories and help facilitate our quarterly and annual audits
  • Prepare sales and use tax, personal property tax and real estate tax filings in addition to assisting with corresponding regulatory audits
  • Assist with business administration duties such as: business licensing, customer and vendor reporting and corporate compliance
  • Issue and process credit memos, invoices and debit memos
  • Track and research unauthorized deductions and partner with Accounts Receivable on credit compliance
  • Work with Accounts Payable to resolve P.O., receiving and invoicing exceptions
  • Provide information, data and conclusions to finance and other department functions
  • Special projects as assigned


  • Bachelors in Accounting/Finance required
  • CPA preferred
  • MBA/Masters preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience in or ready for a fast paced, operations and manufacturing environment
  • Heavy Excel and MS Office application skillset required
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
