Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the St. Louis accounting team, interfacing with clients, performing tax and accounting work, creating valuations, and assisting with the integration of CPA firms. As additional firms are acquired, the expectation is that this person will continue to take on greater management responsibilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Tax
– Manage 3-6 accountants and provide guidance on tax related matters.
– Complete individual and corporate tax returns with support from the outgoing CPAs.
Accounting
– Assist the team in completing payroll, month end close, and bill pay for clients.
Integration
– Assist with the integration of the various CPA sites which includes ERP, payroll, bill pay, and tax systems / software.
– Identify best in class practices and share practices across sites.
– Identify new lines of business and help sites build the capabilities to provide such services.
Experiences, Education, and Licensure/Certification Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
– CPA preferred
– Certified Financial Planner and Certified Valuation Analyst is a plus
– 5 years of work experience in accounting or finance
– Time management/multi-tasking skills
– Supervisory skills
– Proficiency in a variety of ERP, bill pay, payroll, and tax systems
– Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers
