We are seeking a self-driven, proactive Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced, dynamic team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in an environment with competing priorities and enjoys working in an international setting. The Accounting Manager will oversee financial reporting, compliance, and operational accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the accounting operations, including financial reporting, month-end close, and compliance with GAAP and international accounting standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and investor reporting.
- Manage and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Manage daily cash accounting (check bank accounts daily, move money from money market funds to meet short-term liabilities)
- Stay on top of accrual accounting
- Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Be proactive with financial statement analysis / variance explanations to management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support private equity stakeholders with financial analysis and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a private equity-owned and/or international company.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
