We are recruiting a Corporate Controller for a world-class global manufacturer headquartered in St. Louis, MO. This company is a market leader with a strong capital backing, double-digit annual growth trajectory, and an elite leadership team. The Corporate Controller will report to the VP of Finance and be responsible for enterprise-level accounting, financial closing, global financial reporting, and internal controls and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a CPA license and 10+ years of progressive experience in global companies (manufacturing and/or public accounting preferred) a deep understanding of US GAAP and internal controls, and excellent communication, relationship building, and leadership skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design proactive strategic initiatives
- Align delivery of Finance services to meet or exceed organizational needs
- Align Finance policies with Company values and goals
- Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and ensure the books of records are maintained in compliance with all laws, accepted accounting principles and Company policies and procedures.
- Lead and actively participate in business initiatives and projects, including operationalizing the accounting for new transactions, implementation of new accounting standards, and serve as a key partner in the implementation of business and accounting systems.
- Partner with the leadership team, cross functional leaders, and other members of the finance team to provide advice on financial implications of business activities.
- Participate in the creation of the financial vision and develop related financial metrics and methodologies.
- Serve as an active member of the Finance leadership team.
- Participates as a leader in strategy development / deployment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting; MAcc or MBA preferred
- Thorugh understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Lean Accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with purchase accounting and acquisitions integrations strongly preferred
