We are recruiting for a growing midsize private company headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. This company has a tremendous company culture and is a market leader. As they expand, they are seeking a Corporate Controller to join their dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the company’s financial operations and play a lead role in building their accounting and financial reporting infrastructure.

Position Overview:

The Corporate Controller will report directly to the CFO and be a vital contributor to the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions. We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Corporate Controller to lead our accounting operations. This role is integral to our success, requiring a data-driven professional with deep ERP systems expertise, exceptional adaptability, and a self-starter mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the company’s accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP.
• Develop and maintain efficient accounting policies, procedures, and controls to support the company’s growth trajectory.
• Analyze complex financial data to support strategic decision-making and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance ERP system utilization and optimize accounting processes.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth.
• Support audit and tax compliance processes, liaising with external auditors and consultants.
• Provide expertise in mergers, acquisitions, and integrations in alignment with private equity objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or financial management, ideally within a private equity environment.
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems, with demonstrated success in implementation or optimization.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with business intelligence tools is a plus.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strategic thinking.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• CPA) is preferred but not required.
• Experience with Dynamics GP preferred but not required.
