Director of FP&A

$130-150k base + 15-20% Bonus


Rapidly growing and well-funded private equity backed startup based out of St. Louis is seeking a hands-on Director of FP&A. The Director of FP&A will report to the CFO and is tasked with building out a scalable data analytics and reporting function for the organization. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s in finance or accounting (master’s or MBA preferred), 10+ years of total experience (7 years’ minimum) with at least 4 years in a hands-on financial planning and analysis role with a focus on operations and commercial finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports to CFO and leads an FP&A Analyst
  • Lead the global Annual budgeting and Quarterly and Monthly Forecasting process
  • Lead the management reporting process that allows for consistent, timely, and accurate reporting across the organization
  • Lead other long-term financial planning processes including Strategic Planning Process
  • Lead the Financial Analyst in creating and maintaining an environment of financial accountability with our business partners in key enabling functions (HR, Finance, IT etc.)
  • Develop KPI reporting by region, service, and customer that can be accessed in real time
  • Support CFO and CEO with ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Develop processes around Cash Flow reporting and reporting on its components (Capex, R&R/A&I, Balance Sheet, Inventory)
  • Serve as one of the primary point of contacts, system advocate, and subject matter expert for data analytics and reporting tools
  • Provide financial leadership to other ad hoc management reporting and investor relations projects
  • Design and build presentation material for senior management including Budget presentations and Board of Directors quarterly presentations
  • Drive automation of management reporting by utilizing state-of-the-art tools and technologies including RPA capabilities in conjunction with the IT team
  • Work with operations and sales leaders to continually enhance reporting and collaboration
  • Work with the Acquisitions team on pro-forma financials, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required; Master’s or MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive corporate finance experience, including corporate FP&A working with Annual Operating Plans as well as working as finance support for leaders within the business
  • Primarily a career corporate finance professional. If Controller type of background, needs to have at least 2+ years of FP&A experience
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Private equity backed company experience preferred
