Career Highlight 1: Being in charge of the government accounting, compliance and policy at my current company I have completed all audits I’ve managed with no findings from FPRP audit to CAS 418 to an accounting system audit. This has made the company successful for pricing new contracts because we haven’t had any findings that would result in withholding of costs on government contracts.

Career Highlight 2: At the large company I was able to complete research for one programs estimate to complete and find several reasons why the program was overrunning material costs, so that purchase orders could be cancelled and renegotiated to get better pricing. This helped save the program around a $1 million in material costs.

Career Highlight 3: Created an accounting department, including picking out and setup an ERP system since the company was only using Quickbooks up to that point. This helped the company control their overhead costs. It also assisted with inventory control since they were able to pull data from a system built for manufacturing as opposed to having to manually monitor inventory.
