I am a seasoned Controller (manufacturing) and high level achiever starting with graduation from Washington University and continuing through Big Four accounting to the current day where I most recently was Controller for a billion dollar company. As a Controller for over 25 years I have managed teams of various sizes and completed over 300 month-end closes successfully. I have extensive knowledge of internal controls, audit compliance, forecasting, budgeting and financial review and analysis. Because of my wide ranging experiences I have learned wisdom in working with the teammates reporting to me and departmental peers across the company.

Career Highlight 1: At a $1B Company, I reduced the monthly close from 3.5 days to 2.5 days. Steps to do this include buy-in for these targets from non-finance departments, consistent review for bottlenecks and roadblocks, re-balancing among the team members, and creating a strategy to define elements of the close that can be done before Day 1 or completed after sign-off.

Career Highlight 2: Part of larger team that (1) Integrated an $80M segment into the main ERP system, (2) Acquired several entities, (3) Disposed of several entities, and (4) Significant upgrade to ERP system (QAD) including a revamp of the reporting structure and Chart of Accounts.
