I have 12 years of corporate accounting and finance experience. I have been a people leader for more than 6 years. This experience has been in various industries including agriculture/food production, manufacturing, financial services, pharmaceutical.

Career Highlight 1: I stepped into a role where processes had not changed in over 10 years. There was no documentation for any of the processes. I was able to step in and observe to create many process documents. This saved a large deal of time and we were able to onboard an employee to process invoices within a week of their first day. This saved a great deal of time and resources.

Career Highlight 2: In a new role, I was able to create process mapping for a new system. The mapping was not created prior to me starting and it allowed me to take ownership and meet many employees to develop a relationship with them while completing an important task that became part of our year end audit.

Career Highlight 3: As a Director of Accounting, I stepped into a budget process where the sales budget was due two months prior to the expense budget. It is important for the two pieces to align. I began a monthly review of expenses which helped us to better budget for the next year. This created additional ownership of the budget and allowed us to better align sales and expenses moving forward. This not only created a better process but saved the company money.

Why Hire This Candidate (In Their Own Words): Communication is a strength of mine which is important when sharing financial information with non-Finance teams. I am open to change and very adaptable as I strive to find opportunities for process improvement. I enjoy leading and mentoring co-workers. I learned early in my career that hard work will drive success and it is important to make sure tasks and goals are accomplished timely.

Strengths: Adaptability as I have switched careers from construction to accounting. Process improvement is an aspect that I am always pursuing. Continuous learning and mentoring of others are both aspects I can bring to a company.

Hobbies & Personal Interests: I spend as much time with family as possible and enjoy going to Cardinal and Blues games with them. We volunteer at church with our free time on weekends.
