Growing St. Louis based construction company is seeking a talented and experienced Controller with ~8+ years of experience, including significant experience with hands-on project accounting, full-cycle corporate accounting, and financial statement reporting. The Controller will oversee a small staff and have accounting and financial reporting responsibilities for the entire company. The position reports to the President with a dotted-line to the parent company CFO.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full accounting and financial reporting responsibilities for the company (full P&L and Balance Sheet)
- Month-end close responsibilities (accruals, closing entries, balancing, financial statements, etc.)
- Job costing accounting and reporting
- Treasury/cash management
- FP&A (budgets and forecasts)
- Manage cash and banking relationships
- Fixed assets
- Payroll
- Manage AR/AP Clerk
- Employee benefits management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- 10+ years of accounting experience preferred; 7 required
- Significant full-cycle accounting experience
- 2 years minimum job costing experience, construction industry highly preferred
- Significant experience preparing a full set of financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong communication skills
