We are working with a Growing PE-backed industrial equipment leasing and maintenance company headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri to find a rising Senior Accountant (Corporate). This position sits within the corporate accounting and shared services team and is responsible for a variety of general accounting activities around the analysis and application of expense recognition including journal entry preparation, month-end reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting, as well as audit support. Keys for success in this position include strong analytical problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally communicate with internal and external partners both verbally and in writing. The right candidate will be service-oriented with high attention to detail and a process-improvement mindset.


  • Perform monthly close activities including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and other internal work papers to support timely financial reporting
  • Help perform and analyze results via the intercompany assessment process
  • Assist in reporting of results to internal stakeholders and senior management
  • Support multiple audits throughout the year with workpaper preparation and timely response to inquiries and requests for documentation
  • Perform and own corporate Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Identify and implement continuous process improvements and create procedure documentation
  • Record transactions related to expense reporting, corporate credit cards, and payroll
  • Assist with account assignment and recognition of invoicing, PO’s and reclass JE’s
  • Collaborate with and support the full shared services team, including general ledger and AP functions
  • Assist in a variety of analysis and special projects as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or commensurate experience
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus
  • 5 years of demonstrated progressive experience in accounting and finance
  • SAP experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with IT on implementation and configuration of ERP or integrated programs is a plus
  • Must possess the ability to work independently to successfully complete assignments
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work under pressure in a complex environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and its application to expenses
